The Heat Exchanger is water to air based, meaning it transfers the heat from the water to the air through its copper fins. It's the most essential part of the water cooling and sells for about $60.00 on eBay. The major factors when buying the exchanger are that it has 3/8" diameter tubing and that the tubing is stainless steel. Even though the fins in the below picture are copper the actual tube is stainless stell with the copper soldered on. If you use anything other than stainless you'll have corrosion problems and cause a build up on the flashlamps and rod that will eventually prevent the laser from firing. If you have any questions on selecting your heat exchanger you can contact me here.
